Health Benefits of Green Tea: Green tea is very high in antioxidants that boost the immune system and may help to reduce the risk of cancer (polyphenols), particularly lung, colon and skin cancers. Green tea also contains EGCG complex, which is very good for metabolism. In addition, green tea helps to regulate your blood sugar, resist cavities and gingivitis, and it is good for your skin.

the best thing you can do is eat a well balanced diet because different foods are good for different things so a balanced diet is imperative for your body to function to its full and the immune system will work well.

Avoid sugar, as it supresses the immune system. Try adding color to your plate. For instance, instead of white rice, buy brown rice. Adds fiber. Instead of white potatoes, buy sweet potatoes, instead. Adds vitamin A. Instead of white bread, buy whole wheat. The different colors add a veriety of nutrients the body needs, so aim for a colorful plate when you sit down to eat. Juicy Juice & certain varieties of Welches Juice have no added sugar.

To boost your immune system eat immune boosting foods such as raw fruits and vegies, raw garlic and onion, raw vegetable juices, raw fenugreek, chilli, ginger, free range eggs, oily fish (salmon, sardines, tuna), avocadoes, flaxseed (ground freshly and cold pressed oil), barley grass (juice or sprouted seeds), wheat grass juice, freshly sprouted seeds and beans, cold pressed seed and vegetable oils, fresh seafood, legumes such as peas, beans and lentils, organic raw nuts and seeds (ground up for easier digestion).
Sea weeds such as kelp, dulse, agar – agar, nori, arame, kombu, wakame and hijiki are excellent for improved immune function……… if you can get used to the taste that is.
Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts all contain phyto nutrients that protect against infections … foods containing plant hormones (known as phyto estrogens), such as isoflavones and lignans, are known to reduce the risk of many cancers… good sources of these plant hormones are soy beans (if you can tolerate soy), alfalfa and flaxseed.
Sawyer’s right mate …. processed man made highly refined white sugar is the scurge of modern society …… Avoid sugar as bacteria will only feed and multiply on it and sugar will also stress a healthy system and deplete many vitamins and minerals and nutrients in your body.
Avoid mucous producing foods ~ milk and diary products such as cheese, ice cream, cream, preserved meats and processed foods.
Actually try to pinpoint foods to which you are intolerant as these foods will only stress an already stressed body.
Hey, an easy way to tell if you are allergic to a particular food is to take your pulse before eating the food ~ timed over a period of 30 seconds then double the result (your pulse will probably be between 52 and 70 beats per minute) ~ eat the food you suspect you are intolerant or allergic to and take your pulse again 15 minutes later ~ if it is 20 beats or more higher you probably have an allergy to the food
Avoid tobacco, smoking and alcohol & soft drinks and sodas.
Ensure that you get enough vitamin C on a daily basis as well by eating citrus fruits such as lemons limes and oranges, red and green peppers, strawberries, blackberries and you can even supplement with a powdered form of vitamin C that contains bioflavonoids (which increase the power of vitamin C ten fold) ~ take approx 1,000 – 2,000 mg daily mixed with your juice or fresh filtered water…… halve your dosage for children.
Take Olive leaf extract ……… it has been used as a natural antiotiobic for thousand years, but is only recently that scientific research has shown that its active ingredient oleuropein, has the ability to fight a broad range of infective microorganisms…. Oleuropein has been found to be effective in fighting bacteria, fungi, yeasts, parasites and viruses in laboratory studies…… use it daily to bolster and maintain immunity.

Drink loads and loads (at least 2 – 3 litres daily) of fresh filtered water to ensure you are properly hydrated.
Try to exercise daily…. even if it’s only a 15 minute walk in circles around your washing line!! Exercise can do wonders for a poorly functioning immune system and promote health in various other ways.
take care of you
peace

Drink clean water and nothing else. My family doing so much better after giving up all soda/juices/coffee/smoothies/milk and such. We stick to glass bottled water that we buy at local coop. Me and my 12 year old drink unflavored perrier ( $1.29 a bottle ). My husband likes Appolinaris ( $1.29 a bottle ). I buy uncarbonated Nalezovianka ( $4.99 six pack) for my 4 years old. We do this for a year already, and definitely have less cold/flu then before. My hubby lost 8 pounds in the first 4 month although it was not the purpose. I also drink tea (no sugar) occasionally.
Don’t expect any effect in at least 3 month.
As for food – keep it simple and homemade, so you know what is in it.
