Many of us don’t realize just how many bacteria we are exposed to on
a daily basis. This is one of the main reasons we get sick easily if
our immune systems aren’t working as hard as they can or should be.
Luckily, there are multiple ways to boost your immune system,
including the oral consumption of vitamins.
Vitamin A
This is the vitamin that is basically the defense to your immune
system. Vitamin A helps prevent germs, viruses and bacteria from
entering your body to wreak havoc on your immune system.
Vitamin C
This is the vitamin you need to have in order to boost your immune
system. Vitamin C makes the proteins inside your body responsible for
killing viruses and germs.
Vitamin E
This vitamin also plays a role concerning the immune system. Vitamin
E produces another protein, interleukin-2, that fights and kills
bacteria and viruses in your body.
B Vitamins
These vitamins are known to supply the body with more energy as well
as boost the immune system. According to the National Institutes of
Health, vitamin B6 has increased white blood cells in women with an
oral dosage of 2.1 milligrams per day.
Zinc
Zinc is another way you can boost your immune system. Zinc actually
helps lower cold and flu symptoms if ingested within 24 hours of the
first symptoms. Zinc has its own role in the immune function along
with the protein synthesis according to the National Institutes of
Health.

Vitamins will only help if your body is lacking them. If you think your diet might be lacking, you could take a general multi-vitamin and mineral supplement daily. Garlic is both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, so garlic either fresh in the diet or garlic oil capsules may benefit the immune system. Studies are unclear about whether vitamin C actually reduces the severity of colds, but C is often included in garlic supplements. Some people claim that zinc is beneficial when taken at the first sign of a cold, also echinacea. (Be careful with echinacea if you have asthma). Olive leaf extract tastes yuck, but is good for cardiovascular health and the immune system.
Other immune-boosting measures: Get enough sleep, and minimise stress. Stress and lack of sleep have both been proven to be detrimental to the immune system. Also, wash your hands often and avoid close contact with anyone who has a virus!
Hope this helps

If you eat a healthy diet, adding extra vitamins will just give you expensive urine and the big multinationals that sell them (under a large number of brand names) a bigger profit.
There have been no systemic reviews of randomised controlled trials that proved vitamins do any good-
The only recent trial I’ve heard of was the Omega 3 trial in the North East of England which started in a blaze of publicity and then was quietly killed before it finished because the kids taking the omega 3 were actually performing WORSE in their tests.
Even the accepted wisdom about vitamin c is based on very dodgy methodology.

Buying and eating a good mixed diet will do you far more good.
Synthetic vitamins are a waste of money, they will not boost your immune system.
Best advice, don’t smoke, drink plenty of waer and fruit juice, give up junk food and ready meals (fresh is best), fresh air, exercise, plenty of sleep, avoid stress and recreational drugs.
Eat nuts and seeds – pumpkin, sunflower.

Vitamins A, C, & E are great for the immune system. You can buy multi-vitamin supplements from a local drug store near you or maybe pre-natal vitamins will help you, too. If you want to get the vitamins through food naturally, fruits & vegetables are GREAT sources of vitamins, especially oranges, apples, etc. Blackberries, blueberries, any berry, etc. are great sources of anti-oxidants, too. Good luck and I hope this helps!
